Summary: Ben’s video submission had some potential. It definitely wasn’t as polished or tied together as I would expect from a grand prize winner, but it was certainly interesting. At first I felt like Ben reminded me of Crazy Eddie from his flurry of fast talking. One thing that initially bothered me about Ben was he seemed a little bit of a spaz. I thought the riding on the ostridge was a bit annoying personally, but it does show he is certainly over-the-top. His video wasn’t as cohesive as some of the others I reviewed and it desparately needed better audio, music and special effects. However, Ben showed us why he was a good candidate for the job. My take on this one in the final competition in Australia is that the committee may have been leaning towards a candidate with strong english fluency, energy and experience. Ben seemed to deliver all of that.
Here are some other videos from the Australia part of the competition.
Nice Hair Doo, Ben! We look forward to hearing more from Ben when he begins in his new job.
